To start the process check overhead for a rope that connects the opener to the door. Reach overhead and pull the rope that releases the door from the opener. The issue is going to be due to the cable untangling and lodging on the road and drum. You can secure the wheels into the track by knocking the edge of the track back into shape as it was before you used pliers on it.

Make sure the door is reattached to the opener and can open and close smoothly. Using pliers manipulate the metal on the edge of the track and slip the wheels back into the track.
